At about 5 pm on June 23, as the last batch of citizens finished their COVID-19 vaccination in the Jiuhuamobile vaccination site, the mobile vaccination project of our hospital was completed, closing all the four mobile sites in Hunan University of Science and Technology, Xiangtan University, XISC, and Jiuhua.

According to statistics, a total of 254,012 doses of COVID-19 vaccinationhave been administrated during the period of mobile vaccination project. It demonstrated that Xiangtan Central Hospital, as a Grade A Hospital of First Class, always puts the people and the life in the first place, particularly in the critical period of establishing a universal immune barrier.

From the opening of the first vaccination site on March 27, medical teams from our hospital have moved to many places in the past 3 months. Upon temporarily completing our glorious mission, we would like to take a look back on some “site moments” and share them with our readers.

On March 27 morning, our hospital launched its first mobile COVID-19 vaccination site in Hunan University of Science and Technology. There are 20 vaccination places with an area of nearly 1,000 square meters. The estimated daily vaccination volume is 5000 to 6000. It is the first of its kind in Xiangtan to put into operation, and it is also the largest single-day vaccination site in the province.

On April 1, the vaccination team completed the first dose of vaccination for 31,468 people in Hunan University of Science and Technology within 6 days, which is 2 days in advance compared with the expected plan. The inoculation rate of teachers and students exceeded 90%.

On April 13th, Xiangtan University's vaccination site opened. In order to solve the problem of fainting needles of some students, we set up a "specially needed vaccination area". There are special beds in the special vaccination area. In addition to get vaccinated while lying down, the recipients can enjoy drinks and food at requirement.

What excited us most is that the project has been reported by CCTV Channel 4, Channel 13, Xinhua News Agency Chinese version and overseas English version, Central People’s Government official website, Hunan Satellite TV News Network, Hunan Daily and other major provincial and municipal media reports.
