History is the best textbook. In order to better remember the history, memorize the ancestors, and inherit the history and culture of the hospital, Xiangtan Central Hospital held the first publish of "Xiangtan Central Hospital Zhi(2010-2019)" and "He Zhixiang Biography" and the unveiling ceremony of HeZhixiangbronze statue on July 14.

It is a feast of health system culture building of Xiangtan

Representatives from Xiangtan Municipal People's Government, Municipal Committee of CPPCC, Xiangtan Health Committee, and experts from hospitals and universities attended the ceremony. Zeng Jianping, Vice Chairman of the CPPCC and President of the Hospital, delivered a welcome speech and Xia Hong, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Hospital, presided over the ceremony. Mr. He Zhixiang's family members, close friends and student representatives also attended and witnessed the debut of two new books. With gratitude and remembrance, they unveiled a bronze statue of He Zhixiang, the hospital's first president after the founding of New China.

It is a vivid practice of learning history

A flourishing history is cultivated and carried in flourishing records. General Secretary Xi Jinping stressed that history is the best nutrient. Xiangtan Central Hospital Zhi (2010-2019) is a book of more than 1.3 million words, containing seven parts and 49 chapters, with time as the longitude, events as the latitude, horizontal arrangement of categories, and vertical writing of historical facts. It mainly applies the genre of Zhi and a combination of descriptions, notes, diagrams, tables, records and indexes to comprehensively, systematically and accurately demonstrate the achievements of the hospital in various aspects of discipline construction and management during the past decade.

This is an inheritance of the Huijing spirit

A book is a way of life. The biography not only vividly and comprehensively records the extraordinary life of HeZhixiang, but also displays an extraordinary history, becoming a rare and precious historical material of the hospital. The author of the book, Gu Jingchoked up several times and burst into tears when talking about the creation process. He said that he had been visiting around for more than four years, and the more he interviewed, the more he was impressed by HeZhixiang's medical ethics and skills. With his deep affection for the old dean, he overcame his illness and great difficulties in creation, interviewing, reading and recording (including audio recording) more than 2 million words of information and materials, and finally achieved this 200,000-word masterpiece.

On the day of the ceremony, Mr. He's son, Mr. HeGuanghao expressed his gratitude on behalf of his family for the efforts made by the hospital leadership in the publication of HeZhixiang biography and the unveiling of the memorial bronze statue. Chen Menglun, an old colleague of Mr. He Zhixiang and the former Director of the Department of Hematology and Oncology, also sent a congratulatory letter from the United States, expressing her remembrance and gratitude to the old President He Zhixiang.
