On July 12th2021, the First Xiangtan ECMO Medical Technology Guidance Center was titled in Xiangtan Central Hospital, in a hope to offer technical guidance for ECMO treatment in critical and intensive medical cases around the region. The center aims to promote and develop standardized EMCO technology in Xiangtan and influence neighboring cities and counties, allowing more people have access to safe, effective and superior medical services.
Main leaders from government sides and experts in interested area all came to the hospital and shared opinions. President of the hospital, Zeng Jianping said that we have established a ECMO rescue system with clear accountability and standard assessment. In the future, we will give full play to the center as a platform for interested group to communicate, study, practice and share experience in saving lives of critically ill patients.
Jiang Mingyan, as the first candidate for responsible for the center, made a commitment that he will live up to the expectation of patients and devote himself to improving ECMO technology and system construction.
Professor Zhao Shuangping, Li Yuanyuan and Zhao Shangping from distinguished hospitals in Changsha shared their cases concerning ECMO rescue.
The establishment of the center provides effective and practicable regimen for enhancing overall public health and rescue ability for critical illness and guaranteeing people’s health. Center leaders and members will adhere to the concept of “Admiring life and benefiting the people” and work hard to strengthen the development of ECMO technology.
